The FibeAir 1500P by Ceragon Networks* features a flexible microwave platform that's available in every frequency, every bandwidth option (Ethernet, IP, SONET & TDM) and every interface for transparent wireless WAN connections from 0-20 miles. Point-to-point bandwidth is scaleable to 1.6 gigabits (800 Mbps ea. way) and frequencies are user programmable for economic sparing.
The 400 Mbps configuration combines two 1500P radios into a common antenna for double the point-to-point bandwidth. Redundancy is an inherent benefit, with co-located radios operating at separate frequencies so that a failure in one has no effect on the other. The microwave connection is transparent to the network, delivering four Fast Ethernet interfaces (100Base-T) to any switch or router. Each radio also includes a T1 channel for convenient support of telecom, video or VoIP (voice over IP).
Equipment set-up at each end consists of 2-ODUs (Outdoor Units), 2-IDUs (Indoor Units) and a parabolic antenna that ranges 2' to 6' in diameter based on link distance. ODUs house the radios and mount below the dish. ODUs connect to their respective IDUs by a single RG-8 coax for signal and power (qty. 2/end, max. 1,000'). IDUs are rack-mounted (1U ea.) and supply four 100Base-T network interfaces per end. Power is 120VAC, 5-A, requiring 2-recepticles.
As an FCC licensed, carrier-class radio, the 1500P is unaffected by neighboring wireless devices or inclement weather for long term reliability (~ 99.999%) in critical WAN applications. FCC license period is 10-years and renewable thereafter. For your convenience, we offer guaranteed license approval with a turnkey delivery.
