| The FibeAir 1500P* comes in a Fast Ethernet and 8-T1 configuration, the upgrade to Ceragon Networks' 50 Mbps radio. Throughput is 100 megabits (Mbps) each way for point-to-point distances of 0-20 miles. Telecom, video and VoIP (voice over IP) may also be supported by an optional 8-T1 module.
As a licensed, carrier-class radio, the 1500P is unaffected by neighboring wireless devices or inclement weather for unsurpassed link reliability (~ 99.999%) in critical WAN applications. The microwave connection is transparent to the network, delivering a 100Base-T interface to any Ethernet switch or router. T1 interfaces are RJ-48.
System set-up consists of only three components at each end: 1) a compact Outdoor Unit, 2) a rack-mounted Indoor Unit, and; 3) a parabolic antenna that ranges 1' to 6' in diameter, based on link distance. The Outdoor Unit (ODU) contains the radio transmitter and receiver and attaches below the dish. The ODU is powered by the Indoor Unit (IDU), which requires one 120VAC, 5-A outlet and supplies local and network interfaces. ODUs and IDUs are connected by a single RG-8 coax carrying signal and power. Maximum cable distance is 1,000’.
The FibeAir 1500P is licensed for interference protection. The license period is 10-years and renewable thereafter. For your convenience, we offer guaranteed FCC license approval with a turnkey installation.
