About the FibeAir 1500-P Radio
FibeAir 1500-P is our carrier-class, point-to-point Ethernet and VoIP radio, licensed for enterprise applications (e.g., business, education, health care, etc.). Throughput starts at 100 megabits and is upgradeable with a software key to 400 Mbps. It comes in a variety of licensed frequencies for point-to-point distances of 0-30 miles. Telecom needs may also be supported by an optional 8-T1 module.
As a licensed, carrier-class radio, the 1500P is unaffected by interference or weather for unsurpassed link reliability (~ 99.999%) in critical WAN applications. Latency is the lowest of any wireless solution, only 100µs, and the microwave is completely transparent to the network, delivering a 1000Base-T or fiber hand-off to any network switch or router.
System set-up consists of only three components at each end of the wireless link: 1) a compact Outdoor Unit, 2) a (1u) rack-mounted Indoor Unit, and; 3) a parabolic (dish-shaped) antenna that ranges 1' to 6' in diameter, based on link distance.
The Outdoor Unit (ODU) houses the wireless transmitter and receiver and attaches below the dish. It connects to the Indoor Unit (IDU) by a single RG-8 coax for signal and power. Maximum cable distance is 1,000 feet. Power (one 120 VAC, 5-A outlet) comes from the Indoor Unit, which also supplies local diagnostics and standard network interfaces.
The FibeAir 1500P is FCC licensed as a fixed point-to-point transmission. The license period is 10-years and renewable thereafter. For your assurance, we offer guaranteed FCC license approval.
