The FibeAir 1500P delivers nearer to a gigabit than any licensed microwave product we've seen. Other vendors combine four 150 Mbps (OC3) radios for 600 Mbps each way, touting an "aggregate" 1.2 gigabits. By contrast, Ceragon Networks* achieves 800 Mbps by greater modulation efficiencies. Less hardware, more performance, greater reliability. That's progress.
The FibeAir 1500P features a common microwave platform, made in every frequency for carrier-class, point-to-point WANs from 0-20 miles. It's field upgradeable from 100 Mbps up and radio frequencies are user programmable for flexibility and economic sparing.
The microwave is transparent to the network, delivering 800 Mbps of Ethernet / IP data to any switch or router. Link performance is unaffected by neighboring wireless devices or inclement weather for long term reliability (~ 99.999%) in critical WAN applications. Moreover, the gigabit configuration is fault-tolerant, combining four collocated radios. While the four radios share a single antenna, they operate at different frequencies so that a failure in one has no effect on the others.
Set-up at each end includes 4-ODUs (Outdoor Units), 4-IDUs (Indoor Units) and a parabolic antenna that ranges 2' to 6' in diameter based on link distance. ODUs house the radios and mount below the dish. ODUs connect to their respective IDUs by a single RG-8 coax (4-total, max. 1,000') for signal and power. IDUs are rack-mounted (1U ea.) and provide 100/1000Base-T network interfaces. Power is 120VAC, 5-A, requiring a total of 4-recepticles.
The FibeAir 1500P is licensed for maximum interference protection. License period is 10-years and renewable thereafter. For your convenience, we're pleased to offer guaranteed licensing services with a turnkey delivery.
