About the FibeAir 1500-P Radio
FibeAir 1500-P is a state of the art wireless Ethernet solution that employs point to point licensed microwave; same as what major telcos use, only scaled for enterpise (corporate) networks. The 200 model delivers transparent wide area network connections for up to 30 miles; longer with microwave repeaters. It's built on a flexible radio platform, available in every licensed frequency and scaleable to 800 megabits [point to point].
The wireless Ethernet connection is seemless to the network, with a latency of only 60ms, forward error correction and two standard 100Base-T interfaces to your switch or router. A T1 "wayside" channel is included for convenient support of telecom, video or VoIP (voice over IP).
As an FCC licensed, carrier-class radio (the highest category), the 1500P is built to the most demanding specs. Reliability is uncompromising, putting FibeAir on a par with fiber (arguably higher) for the most critical corporate and healthcare networks. Note the serious, heavy duty, weather resistant package, designed to withstand hurricane force conditions.
System set-up consists of a compact Outdoor Unit (ODU) with a dish-shaped parabolic antenna, connected to a rack-mounted Indoor Unit (IDU). Antennas range from 1' to 6' in diameter, depending on distance. ODUs and IDUs are connected by a single RG-8 coax carrying signal and power. Maximum cable distance is 1,000’ and the FibeAir runs on standard 120 VAC power, drawing 5-amps. The IDU supplies two 100Base-T connections to your network switch or router, and RJ-48s for the optional T1s.
The FibeAir 1500P is licensed for interference protection. The license period is 10-years and renewable thereafter. Ask about our guaranteed license approval service. Approval is now under 60-days!
