FCC Licensed radios are interference-free....

Interference is simply not an issue with FCC licensed microwave and for good reason. Any manufacturer that builds radios in the private license bands must comply with strict FCC guidelines, mandating everything from transmit power to receiver discrimination, antenna beamwidth and spacing between radio channels. This is of course to preserve portions of the radio spectrum and ensure that phone companies and government agencies - among others, can depend on the quality and security of their wireless transmissions.

While unlicensed radios (e.g., 2.4 & 5.8 GHz) are promiscuous, taking in a wide range of frequencies, licensed radios must be highly efficient so as to distinguish the sliver of the signal they're looking for and discard all else. This is referred to as "receiver discrimination". Similarly, while all radios produce some signal spillover or "residual noise", FCC licensed microwave produces the least amount of it, thereby affording the greatest isolation between radio paths.

Licensed microwave radios must also be coupled with the highest performance parabolic ("dish") antennas. These focus the signal to a point-to-point beam (typically 1.5 to 2-degrees) that's several times tighter than antennas used by unlicensed ("license-free") wireless devices. Of course a tighter, more concentrated beam is inherently more secure than signals put out by omnidirectional or "whip" antennas, which broadcast in a 360-degree radius. Whereas there can be dozens of licensed microwave links on a single tower or rooftop, only a fraction of the number of spread spectrum or unlicensed radios may coexist without interference.

Of the major radio technologies (unlicensed, spread spectrum and licensed), licensed microwave affords the greatest interference protection, promoting the highest signal quality with the least noise. Licensed microwave represents the highest state of wireless technology, which is why it's been trusted for decades by major telecom carriers as well as the most sensitive government agencies.
