CONNECTING SIGNAL & POWER (RG-8) CABLE BETWEEN ODU AND IDU
ODUs and IDUs are connected by a single RG-8 (Belden #9914) coax for signal and power. Maximum cable distance is 1,000', however we recommend Times Microwave's LMR-600 on runs beyond 800' where path attenuation is a concern. |

Instructions: |
1. Connect the coaxial cable between the IDU and ODU using the N-type connector on the IDU and ODU. |
2. Make sure that the connectors are clean and dry. |
3. After the connections are made, wrap isolation tape over the coax connections. |
4. Peel ~ 6" of COAX-SEAL (provided) from the paper backing and mold it over the taped connections. |
