CONNECTING SIGNAL & POWER (RG-8) CABLE BETWEEN ODU AND IDU
ODUs and IDUs are connected by a single RG-8 (Belden #9914) coax for signal and power. Maximum cable distance is 1,000', however we recommend Times Microwave's LMR-600 on runs beyond 800' where path attenuation is a concern.
Instructions:
1.  Connect the coaxial cable between the IDU and ODU using the N-type connector on the IDU and ODU.
2.  Make sure that the connectors are clean and dry.
3.  After the connections are made, wrap isolation tape over the coax connections.
4.  Peel ~ 6" of COAX-SEAL (provided) from the paper backing and mold it over the taped connections.
